Hello guys..! the magic 5 Pro will be available in the second quarter of the year and comes in
just one configuration that being 12 gigs of RAM and 512 gigs of storage for
11.99 Euros which is a bit more expensive than its predecessor's price but you
are getting that extra RAM and storage this time around the magic 5 Pro still
keeps its symmetrical design this year with that massive circular eye of muse
camera module on the back but it has been slightly redesigned and looks fantastic it comes in just two colorways in the global markets.
you can pick it
up in either black which has a glossy finish at the back or the color that I
have known as Meadow Green which has a matte finish that sparkles in lights the
design curves all around in typical honor fashion and this time they have
refined the camera module with a star wheel triple camera design and though it's
large I've never quite seen anything like it it will be a head turner for sure
it may be very curved but you will be happy to know that.
the aluminum frames are
quite squared off and it comes in at just 8.7 seven seven millimeters thick and
219 grams in weight which is a tad thinner but a bit heavier than its
predecessor the device once again comes with an ip68 dust and water
certification and has an anti-glare gloss back and glass front but its glass
protection is unknown the phone store has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint
sensor which is very fast and reliable and we still have the same grade 3D Face
Unlock which explains that rather large.
pull-shaped Notch and the screen itself
is largely similar to last year it's a 6.81 inch ltpo quad curved floating
display with a resolution that sits somewhere between QHD and Full HD but this
time it's quite a lot brighter at 1800 nits of peak brightness as opposed to the
magic 4 Pro which Peaks at 1000 nits other new display features include a
discrete display chip two 160hz pwm dumming Dynamic dimming and a circadian
night mode all of which are there to protect your eyes and make for a more
comfortable viewing experience.
I can't dive too deep into software yet but the
phone does pack in Android 13 out of the box with all of Google's goodies packed
in and this is skinned with honors latest magic OS 7.1 Global software
experience and to get you through the day is a larger 5100 milliamp hour battery
which is significantly higher than last year's of 4 600 milliamp hour cell it's
just a Pity that only the Chinese variants of the phone has the new and improved
and bigger 5450 milliamp power cell which is made of silicon carbon Battery
Technology but the good news is that we still have fast wired and wireless
charging that being 66 watts and 50 Watts respectively which is not as
impressive as last year's 100 watt wide and wireless charging options and when
it comes to Specs.
the magic 5 Pro packs in everything you would expect from a
2023 Flagship such as dual stereo speakers or pddr5x Ram ufs 4.0 storage the
latest from Qualcomm nappini Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and even honors
self-developed GPU turbo X technology and though I'd love to show you guys some
performance you're gonna have to wait for my full review for that as mentioned
earlier the magic 5 pro has a pull shaped notch in the top left corner and it's
not just for 3D facial recognition the top 3D sensor also works as a 3D depth
sensor for portrait shots and alongside that sits a 12 megapixel 100 degree
field of view selfie camera.
which is identical to last year but the shots still
come out fantastic with a large field of view and superb Edge detection when in
portrait mode this is Technic recording a 4K 30 FPS selfie video on the brand
new honor magic 5 Pro and yes you can switch between 0.7 x 8X and 1X let me know
your thoughts on the audio as well as the video quality so selfie video can go
all the way up to 4K 30 FPS and still looks great at night not to mention selfie
photos at night come out very polished and packed with details when it comes to
the back cameras we are treated to a triple 50 megapixel setup.
which consists of
a 122 degree field of view ultrawide camera a 3 0.5 times optical zoom Periscope
telephoto camera and the biggest upgrade here is the one in 1.12 inch F 1.6 main
sensor the Lancer 2 both have Optical image stabilization and the photo results
are phenomenal whether you're taking shots with the ultra wide main or telephoto
sensors regardless of whether you shoot in needs a 50 megapixel mode or when
burning down to a 12.5 megapixel outputs and I couldn't have pictured a better
place to test out the cameras than.
the sunny city of Barcelona we also have
something new called motion sensing capture which when enabled automatically
captures an image when the subject is doing something active such as jumping and
it's insane how clear the shot came out portrait shots also come out fantastic
with the main camera due to that large sensor size and the 3.5 times Periscope
sensor makes for some fantastic natural depth of field photos.
the main sensor
also takes great 4K 60fps video which is packed with detail and stability now
not to mention you can also shoot ultrawide video at 4K though it's capped at 30
FPS ultrawide video also comes out great at night and when you set the mean to
4K 30fps it truly brings night videography to life not to mention there is also
a night video mode option though it is limited to 1080P and 30fps night photos
come out incredible too regardless of the sensor being used but.
I expect this to
be even better once I get my hands on the final version of the device remember
this is still an early bold of the phone the honor magic 5 Pro is a serious
Contender for phone of the Euro and though it has a pretty hefty price tag it
certainly outshines the competition in more ways than what meets the eye but
this is still my early impressions of the device.. see you soon Guys..!
